To truly feel like a local in Italy, you need to attend at least one of these famous and exceptional events at least once in your lifetime!
These occasions attract not only locals but also visitors from all over the world. They’re unique and unmissable experiences, so it’s always best to plan ahead and book early to make sure you don’t miss a thing.
From January to December, incredible events take place in every region of Italy: music festivals, traditional fairs, major trade shows, sporting events, and so much more. From music to cinema, fashion to food, sports to folk traditions, there’s always something special happening in every corner of the country.
Personally, I’ve had the chance to attend the Venice Film Festival, and I can tell you—it’s a thrilling experience! Watching famous actors walk the red carpet is truly unforgettable. If you can catch a film premiere or one of the side events, it makes the experience even richer. Just like you see on TV or in magazines, the actors arrive by boat, and the magical setting of Venice makes everything even more extraordinary.
I’ve also seen Alpine Skiing competitions in Cortina, where the atmosphere is incredible with the Dolomites as a backdrop, and I’ve joined several famous music events in different Italian cities, each making my trips truly unique and memorable.
